Dyness S51280 BDU200 — High-Voltage Battery Distribution Unit (STACK280)

The Dyness S51280 BDU200 (Battery Distribution Unit 200) is the central management and distribution controller for the Dyness STACK280 high-voltage modular battery system. It connects and manages multiple S51280 battery modules wired in series, enabling a scalable HV architecture spanning 153.6V up to 768V — making it the essential control component for high-power commercial and large residential solar storage applications using compatible HV inverters.

The BDU200 is a required component of every STACK280 installation. It must be paired with S51280 HV Battery modules to form a complete, operational system. The BDU200 does not store energy on its own.

High-Voltage System Controller (134–864V)

• Operating Voltage Range: Supports a wide HV operating range of 134V to 864V — providing compatibility across all STACK280 module configurations, from a 3-module starter system at 153.6V through to a full 15-module array at 768V.

200A Continuous Output

• Current Rating: Rated at 200A continuous output, delivering the high power throughput required by HV-compatible inverters in commercial and large residential solar energy installations.

Series-Stack Architecture Management

• Configuration: Manages S51280 battery modules connected in series (3 to 15 modules), creating a scalable high-voltage DC bus from 153.6V to 768V. This architecture is designed for compatibility with high-voltage inverter platforms requiring a HV battery input.

Centralised Protection & Communication

• System Function: Provides system-level protection, state-of-charge management, cell balancing oversight, and inverter communication for all connected S51280 modules — simplifying management of large-scale HV battery systems from a single, centralised control unit.

Required for All STACK280 Systems

• Note: One BDU200 is required per STACK280 system. The BDU200 must be paired with compatible S51280 HV Battery modules. Confirm your complete system configuration, HV cabling requirements, and HV inverter compatibility with a qualified installer before ordering.
